Provides coverage for LaGrange, Middletown, and Norton Commons dermatology practice locations | Potential Schedule: Mon – Thu: 8 AM–5 PM and Fri: 8 AM – 12:30 PM

As a Medical Assistant, where you will be part of a collaborative team scribing for and supporting dermatology providers by ensuring all patients receive high quality, efficient, and comprehensive care - while demonstrating consistent adherence to the practice’s standards and procedures. In addition, you are an integral part of helping to communicate with and educate patients, as well as assisting providers during medical and cosmetic procedures.

This role is ideal for pre-med and science grads seeking hands-on clinical experience. Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of dermatology and/or cosmetic surgery experience. MA certification and scribing experience preferred but not required - prior experience is helpful but we will train the right candidate. Must have at least 2 years of customer service experience and advanced proficiency with computers. EMR experience - preferably ModMed EMA or comparable software. CPR / BLS & Bloodborne Pathogen Certification preferred.

You ARE detailed-oriented, proactive, initiative-taking individual with a passion for healthcare. You also have basic typing, computer, English, and mathematical skills. You must have an appropriate sense of discretion in dealing with varied and difficult situations; ensure compliance with all HIPPPA regulations; be able to communicate effectively with providers, patients, co-workers, and vendors. In addition, you must have the ability to work as a team member; manage multiple tasks simultaneously and excels under pressure; be empathetic with patients’ needs and concerns; and be able to convey a positive, professional attitude in all your interactions with others.
