As a Cosmetic Medical Assistant in our cosmetic dermatology department, you are a part of a collaborative team scribing for and supporting our dermatology providers. You ensure that all patients receive high quality, efficient, and comprehensive care. You demonstrate consistent adherence to the practice’s standards and procedures. You assist providers during medical and cosmetic procedures. You are an integral part of helping to communicate with and educate patients.

You will actively participate in and assist with cosmetic procedures, including cosmetic injectables and laser treatments. You ensure the proper preparation and support for cosmetic treatments and are an integral part of helping to communicate with and educate patients. You demonstrate a high capacity for taking consistent real-time feedback and constructive criticism, fostering a commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth. You proactively seek opportunities for learning and development, adapting quickly to evolving responsibilities and refining skills based on feedback from dermatology providers and colleagues.

This is an on-site position at our Bucktown dermatology practice. Schedule is 4 days a week with Fridays off. Compensation range is competitive and increases based off of experience level.

Required:

• 2 years minimum, experience scribing and/or clinical experience in a Cosmetic Dermatology or related field required

Preferred:

• EMR experience (ModMed)

• Experience assisting in cosmetic procedures (injectables and laser treatments)

You are a team player, proactive, able to multi-task, organized, a go-getter, fast learner, empathetic, take initiative, detailed oriented, positive, personable, and professional in all your interactions. Along with basic typing, computer, English, and mathematical skills, you have an appropriate sense of discretion in dealing with varied and difficult situations; ensure compliance with all HIPPPA regulations; and, able to communicate effectively with providers, patients, co-workers, and vendors.

Our Bucktown Practice - Dermatology + Aesthetics - is a modern and fast-paced practice well-known for its extensive offerings of skincare treatments, high standard of services, excellent quality of patient care, and diverse team of exceptional individuals. It is located in the newly retrofitted Elston Corridor in the Bucktown neighborhood, at 1765 N. Elston Avenue. We are close to public transportation (Blue and Brown Lines) and near the busy Lincoln Park and Wicker Park Neighborhoods.
