Kevin Pinski, MD, board-certified dermatologist, is looking for a motivated physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join his team at Pinski Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery, a VitalSkin affiliate, in Bourbonnais, IL. The ideal candidate is a professional, dependable, adaptable and humble team player who is eager to learn under direct physician supervision.

Dr. Pinski attended Northwestern University Medical School and completed his residency training at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. Alongside Dr. Pinski and his highly-trained team, you’ll assist with providing general and surgical dermatology services for a growing patient base. This is a full-time position that complements the schedule of the overseeing provider. The scope of practice for this position includes general and surgical dermatology.

Specific Responsibilities

· Perform a variety of general and surgical dermatology procedures under physician supervision.

· Communicate changes in patient conditions to physician.

· Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with patients, families and other healthcare personnel, while assuring confidentiality of patient information.

· Demonstrate proficiency and graduated autonomy within scope of general dermatology practice over the course of several months.

· Record patient’s health history in electronic medical record system.

· 36 direct patient care hours per week, plus administrative time, at Bourbonnais, IL.

Minimum Qualifications

· Master’s degree from accredited PA program. Or if an NP, be a registered nurse (RN), hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), have completed an NP-focused graduate master’s or doctoral nursing program and have successfully passed a national NP board certification exam.

· Minimum two years of experience as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner in dermatology

· PA/NP licensure in the state where employed.

· Must have prescriptive authorization.

· Must be proficient with medical instruments and equipment required by the work.

· Communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, with medical partners at various levels, patients, family members, physicians and representatives of the community.

· Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.

· Be positive, open and flexible to learning new skills for various procedures.

· Maintain license through ongoing continuing medical education credits as required.
